The College of Basic Education at the University of Babylon held a scientific symposium on the use of modern Gis and Rs technologies in geomorphological studies with the participation of a number of researchers.
The symposium, in which Dr. Amir Hadi Jadoua lectured, dealt with the method of using modern technologies in geomorphological studies in terms of reaching remote areas or the difficulty of accessing them, detecting geomorphological features, conducting morphometric measurements, and their geographical distribution, and drawing modern shapes and maps for them.
The lecture dealt with directed and non-directed classification in order for researchers to know the geomorphological changes of the terrestrial shapes for different periods, as well as studying the geomphological shapes with precision and knowing their negative effects or the speed of their creep or restriction.
