Submission Deadline: Wednesday, April 1, 2020

We will shortly start planning the Scientific Programme for the 53rd Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology that will take place October 21-24, 2021 in Honolulu, Hawaii. We welcome suggestions for this congress.

The goal is to have a dynamic programme that includes topics of wide interest related to paediatric and adolescent cancer. We strive for representation by gender and geography in choosing speakers. We encourage nomination of promising young investigators.

*In order to submit a proposal, you must be an active SIOP member at the time of submission.

**Each member may only submit one proposal (if more than one is submitted, only the first one will be considered).

We would appreciate your suggestions for topics and presenters for the following session types:

Keynote– contains one talk and one speaker. The talk should have a strong scientific focus in which leading researchers present the major topics of interest to SIOP members. Speakers should be international leaders in the area.

Meet the expert– contains one topic and one or several speakers. This session is led by a recognized expert in a specific area. Early career investigators and clinicians will have an opportunity to discuss clinical and research questions in a more informal setting.

Symposium– contains three talks brought together under a general theme. The symposium is led by a convener who selects the other speakers. Please feel free to suggest only a theme and convener or an entire symposium.

Please do not reach out to proposed speakers at this stage.  All suggestions will be reviewed by the SIOP Scientific Committee. We will not be able to provide formal feedback on proposal submissions but will take forward recommendations to future years if not used in planning the 2021 scientific program.
