journal Siraj: Call for papers for the second Issue

Siraj Center for Research and Studies is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of the second issue of its semi-annual journal “Siraj  ISSN: 2632_6647”. The journal is interested in analytical and critical studies in the human and Islamic thought, and it dedicates some of its sections to translations, book reviews, presentations of Master and doctoral theses as well as reports of academic activities that are either held by the center or by other parties with whom the center shares common interests and goals. The journal accepts submissions in Arabic, English and French.

Accordingly, we request the interested scholars and researchers to contribute to this foundational moment in the life of Siraj journal, hoping that the latter will stand out as a forum for serious debate and fruitful interaction about problematic issues in the Islamic thought and in the humanities at large.

The interested scholars and researches should send their contributions for the first issue of the journal no later than 31 August 2019.

Submission guidelines:

  • The research must be original, and should not have been published elsewhere either as a whole or in part, electronically or in print. It should also not have been simultaneously submitted for any other journal or otherwise for review and publication.
  • The research should generally comply with the MLA referencing system. However, certain nuances (as indicated below) have to be taken into account.

  • Papers should be double-spaced with 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins all around, and in 12-point Times New Roman font.
  • References should all be made in footnotes (not in-text citations) and a bibliographical entry should be submitted at the end.
  • Submitted papers should include the following: full name of the author(s); his/her affiliation; title of the article; abstract (not to exceed 200 words), and 5 key words.
  • The submitted paper plus an updated CV and a short bio of the author should be sent to this email address: review@sirajcenter.net
