Peyronie’s Global Surgical and Non-Surgical (Colagenase-Xiapex) Management

Course Details:

The Lyx Foundation offers a 2-day masterclass on Peyronie’s management for surgeons, residents and fellows, under the experience of Lyx Physicians.

Agenda:

First day:

The first day focuses exclusively in Diagnosis, basic science, current research, Guidelines recomendations, Expert opinion, literature review, Ultrasound Doppler Evaluation, clinical workflow and non-invasive treatments (Colagenase). Participants should have the chance to observer ultrasound live cases and hands-on colagenase injections technique.

Second day:

Second day will underline patient selection for surgical treatment, different techniques and outcomes. Live case and/or videos of plication, grafting with Tachosyl/Pericardium/SIS and Penile Implant with modeling or corporeal incisions and grafting will be observed.

– Acquisition of basic and clinical knowledge overview in Peyronie’s disease 2019: Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Follow-up, etc.

– Use of Doppler Ultrasound in the diagnosis of PD and eventual concomitant ED (live cases and hands-on).

– Peyronie’s Disease Unit: How we manage patients in real-clinical practice.

– Different Label and On-Label protocols for colagenase (Xiaflex).

– Hands-on training on Xiaflex injection technique.

– Clinical Case Scenario for simple and complex cases.

– Surgical Management (Plication, Grafting and Prosthesis) of PD: Current techniques and outcomes.
