International Sahih Al-Bukhari Symposium

Graduate School of Islamic Studies at Ibn Haldun University, organizes an international symposium on Sahih Al-Bukhari, one of the most respected hadith sources in the Islamic world. Sahih Al-Bukhari Symposium will be held on 1-3 November 2019 at our university.

The symposium aims to study Sahih Al-Bukhari from different angles: its chapter headings, mu‘allaqs, repetitions , conditions, methodology in choosing one text over another, the differences in manuscripts, all studies that are related to the text, as well as the criticisms leveled against it. Priority will be given to topics that have not been dealt with before or have not been adequately studied.

To participate in the symposium, summaries should be submitted by 10 March 2019. Important dates for the International Sahih Al-Bukhari Symposium are announced as well:

Submission of papers: 30 July 2019

Announcement of accepted papers: 5 September 2019

Date of Symposium: 1-3 November 2019
