Public health, Radiology, Nuclear medicine, & Imaging is a medical stream that utilizes imaging to diagnose and treat diseases seen within the body organs. It is an area of medicine that uses both ionizing and nonionizing radiations for the identification and treatment of disease or illness. Radiology uses imaging technologies, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-ray radiography, nuclear medicine, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound and positron emission tomography (PET) to see within the human body in order to diagnose disease and its abnormalities. Imaging means creating a picture of the internal design of a dense entity, which in radiology typically means a part of the human body with the use of radiation.
