Workshop on Medical Fungi

 ●The workshop will comprise lectures and practical sessions covering the following topics: 1-Techniques for collection, staining, and direct microscopic examination of clinical specimens. 2-Techniques for culturing of medical fungi 3- Sources of infection by fungi: air, soil, water, contaminated food, diseased animals, etc. 4- Disease symptoms, epidemiology and the common etiologic agents of: A-Superficial mycoses: dermatomycosis, tinea versicolor, keratomycosis, superficial candidiasis, etc. B-Subcutaneous and systemic mycoses caused by: Aspergillus, Candida, Coccidioides, Cryptococcus, Histoplasma, Sporothrix, hyaline and dark fungi, Zygomycetes. 5- Biochemical and molecular techniques for identification of medical fungi. 6- Key to the identification of medical fungi 7- Antifungal therapeutic agents
Workshop fees:

1- 800 LE for participants from Assiut University.

2- 2000 LE for participants from other Egyptian Universities and Research Centres (including accommodation and publications).

3- 700 U$D for participants from other countries (including accommodation and publications).
